SRU CAMPUS 


Approximately an hour North from Pittsburgh Pa is Slippery Rock University. Slippery Rock University other wise known as SRU, THE ROCK and SLIMY PEBBLE is the second biggest campus in the state of PA (660 acres). Slippery Rock University has over 60 buildings and structure's across the campus that are used by its 8,500+ students this includes the 6,800+ undergraduate  students its 1,500+ Graduate enrollment with 84% of them beinf under the age of 25. As being a D2 school SRU is a powerhouse in the PSAC and offers 17 total sports for men's and women's teams also having a very good intramural sports programs. SRU also has a 42/58 boy girl ratio.

SRU HOMECOMING

 Tuesday, October 21 2025 Today at SRU the weather ranges from a low of  36 to a high of 56.The rest of the week the week the weather is going to be the same with an average of 50 degreees and cloudy.  Rainy and cloudy as we are in the middle of Pennsylvania. This past weekend SRU defeated IUP  in a classic close scouring high intensity game with the final score being 30-27 with SRU coming out onto once again as they have beaten IUP the past three years making people ask is it really a rivalry if SRU has been domination consistently? On top of beating IUP it was also homecoming in SRU with a tone of activates such as a parade, tailgating and and alumni returning to their old stomping grounds.

Staying Active

  Staying Active at School Exercising at SRU can be convenient and fun if you take advantage of the resources available that we are offered as students. The ARC offers equipment for cardio, strength training, and group classes including Spin, Polities, water yoga just to name a few.  SRU has great intramural sports and fitness club programs  iand by joining them its a great way to stay active while also meeting new friends. Even simple activities like walking around campus between classes can add up for some great daily exercise. It’s important to create a routine that fits your schedule, balancing workouts with study time and rest. Staying consistent and choosing activities you enjoy will make sure staying active at SRU will be very beneficial for you to add to your everyday shedual.

Start Of NBA Season

  Start Of NBA season   The 80th NBA season started last night as it being the 80th season is a huge mile stone for the Sport. The Thunder beat the rockets in an amazing double Overtime game. As the thunder also were given their rings from being named last seasons finals champions.  The point leader in the game was SGA with a total of 35 points leading both teams. In the other game we had a classic showdown between two powerhouse franchises as the golden state warriors defeated the Los Angeles lackers by the score of 119-109. The Leading scorer although on the loosing team luka dropped 43 points in their teams opening game and first loss of the season.
